On the field and I am who I am not.
The exterior you see is uptight and preppy but,
I am than just that I am a fighter.
I am stubborn, hard headed, and don't like to hear no
but give me a little love and I am all yours.
I live in a world of death, defiance, and destruction but,
I live by three D's of my own.
Determination, drive, and depth the fuel to my fire,
the guidelines to my life and I stand by them day by day.
I've seen adults live long and sick lives and the young go too soon.
The world is a place like a deep black hole,
unforgiving and relentless.
Life is not fair, it is not easy, and it is definitely not simple
but it keeps us on our toes and keeps us guessing.
Life is what keeps us living.
